Sierra County Economic Development Organization (SCEDO) is a non-profit organization and is the point of contact for businesses seeking information or assistance with relocation and/or expansion and for those who are seeking to enter the Mexican Market.

Working in partnership with the New Mexico Economic Development Department, SCEDO is helping create a favorable working environment for the business community. Sierra County is located along Interstate 25, situated between I-40 and I-10 and is approximately 100 miles from the Mexican Border. Developed and undeveloped land is readily available in the county, along with space at the industrial park and at a new 8,000 acre certified Enterprise Zone development.

Approximately 27 miles from Truth or Consequences is the site for Spaceport America. This venture will bring high-tech business into the area and will be home to Virgin Galactic, the X-Prize Cup, UP Aerospace and others.
